Magical Christmas Memories

This year Christmas was a little different. Two people were missing; my grandma and my sister Sarah. It was tough each day remembering how things used to be. I hold my family traditions very close to my heart, and over the years those traditions have been "grown out of". Christmas to a child always seems magical, and it's hard to feel that magic in the same way when you grow up. But even though we lose the magic as years go by, that's when we realize the importance of those magical memories. My best friend Marisa pointed out that though my magical childhood memories are done being made, my nieces', Abby and Madi, are just beginning. These next few years are the ones that can, and will, shape the rest of their lives. I want them to cherish every moment, forever. Just like I have.

I often find myself wanting to escape back to childhood memories. Some people confuse wanting to hold out to Childhood traditions and memories with being childish... I certainly do not!
